Welcome to our Frequently Asked Questions page. We love our clients here at Mystique Lashes and we are always looking for ways to provide you with more up-to-date information, beauty tips and also lash goodies. We created this page to answer all of those burning questions you may have about eyelash extensions and lash lift treatments. We realise that if you are new to this type of beauty treatments the process may seem a little overwhelming. We wanted to make your experience here, at the Mystique Lashes Studio, as pleasant as possible and we believe that being fully informed is a big part of it.

WHAT IS EYELASH EXTENSION TREATMENT?
Eyelash extension treatment is a semi-permanent, non-invasive, cosmetic procedure that will enhance the look of your lashes. Individual lashes are attached to the natural lash to create an amazing new look. At Mystique Lashes, we use our own brand of lashes which are made out of synthetic fibers. We love animals and do not use animal hair in our extensions.

HOW DO YOU ATTACH THE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
Eyelash extensions are attached one by one to your natural eyelashes using a special glue; they are certainly not attached to your eyelid or clumped together. Correctly separated lashes with properly attached extensions equal a beautiful and comfortable set.

IS THE EYELASH EXTENSIONS APPLICATION PAINFUL?
The application is completely pain-free. You can relax in our comfortable treatment room while listening to soothing music and enjoy being pampered.

DO THE EYELASH EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY LASHES?
The simple answer is no. If the eyelash extensions are attached correctly to your natural lash whilst using high-quality products, the lash extensions are not harmful to the natural lashes. As your natural lashes shed, the extensions will come out with them.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ONE TO ONE EYELASH EXTENSIONS AND THE VOLUME EYELASH EXTENSION TREATMENT?
There are two main types of eyelash extensions; either classic individual lashes where one new eyelash is attached to one existing eyelash, which creates a natural look. Volume method is used to add density to the eyelashes and a dramatic look, here, a fan of (a number of) eyelash extensions are attached to one existing eyelash.

HOW LONG DOES THE ONE TO ONE EYELASH EXTENSION TREATMENT TAKE?
You will spend 1.5 - 2 hrs lying down on a comfortable bed, relaxing whilst your treatment is being completed. The time depends on how many natural lashes you have, the more natural lashes the more extensions we will apply.

HOW LONG DOES THE VOLUME EYELASH EXTENSION TREATMENT TAKE?
Depending on which volume style you choose, the application will take between 1.5 - 2.5 hrs. This also depends on whether you have many natural lashes, the more lashes the more beautiful extensions we can apply for you.

WHAT IS A LASH LIFT TREATMENT?
Lash lift is a treatment that lifts and curls natural lashes. This is ideal for everyone who prefers a very natural look or likes to enhance their natural lashes without the use of extensions. You can use mascara after this treatment or choose the eyelash tint which will make your lashes darker.

HOW LONG DOES THE LASH LIFT LAST?
Lash lift results last usually 8-12 weeks depending on your lash growth. The lashes should still be noticeably lifted after 8 weeks. You cannot have a new treatment completed sooner than 6 weeks after the previous one, to ensure the health of your lashes.

DO I NEED TO PREPARE FOR MY EYELASH EXTENSION TREATMENT?
For the best results and longevity of your new extensions, please remove all eye and face makeup before your appointment. The more time we spend on cleaning the natural lashes, the less time we have for the application process.
